Plants in the process of growth develop according to an internal geometry, influenced by light. Urpflanze is the feeling of plants as sap, in the diaphanous hues of branching time. The work stems from the principles expressed by J. W. Goethe, in his text The Metamorphosis of Plants (1790), about the possibility of finding the primordial plant, of grasping the internal law in the manifestation of phenomena, particularly that of light, the element that attunes the living with the world and connects several of my works.
The earth employed in the making of the work is replaced by the geometric rigor of the lattice as a recurring means of man: the meeting point between landscape and architecture, the orientation that marks the trace becoming a path. The ribbon that branches out from the center follows the sheet in a straight and inverted line, without
interruption.
