Lakes are nothing but bodies of water involuntary hovering into large ground depressions, which interrupt slopes and represent irregularities in the land development, without a visible escape route. These transitory forms do not choose their own geological destiny; moreover, they are changing their liquid form into a solid one. For what concerns the ground on which we daily step on, a lake outlines a condition similar to an island; men are islands as well, keeping each other company on the earth. The materials employed have been picked up on the shores and at the bottom of the following lakes, which are also represented; during the display there will be time for the soil to sprout.
