A writer, a critic, a journalist, a man of culture, what better recognition than to dedicate a book to him? This is the illumination that caught us thinking of a sculpture that could be addressed to the memory of Manlio Brigaglia and his figure.
An open book, standing with its pages unfolded towards the observer as a sign of invitation to read, one hundred and sixty-four centimeters high, the height of Professor Brigaglia in fact.
Great, like the work that this scholar bequeathed to us, made of iron to remind us of the strength and depth of research and study, as impressive as Culture and Art are.
We like to imagine this sculpture positioned there, at the entrance to the Library as an affirmation of itself, but also as an invitation and reflection, an original icon to remember the value and testimony that only books can preserve.
