We live in an era of communication overload, yet incommunicability prevails. My work explores this contradiction through the use of Braille—a code that, instead of breaking down barriers, reinforces them in this context.
My paintings feature Braille messages that are unreadable to both sighted and blind individuals: the former because they cannot decipher it, the latter because they are deprived of the ability to touch it. This ambiguity turns language into a wall, exposing the fragility of our notions of understanding and accessibility.
With this series, I invite the audience to confront their own "conceptual blindness"—a failure to see beyond the surface, to truly listen, and to understand others beyond their own certainties.
