TRASFORMAZIONI
"TRANSFORMATIONS" is the title of the collective exhibition of painting, photography, sculpture, installations and performances, organised by Evuz Art Odv as part of the seventh edition of the Festival delle Trasformazioni, scheduled in Vigevano from 21 September to 1 October 2023.
In the year of "Pavia Capital of Business Culture", "TRANSFORMATIONS" emphasises how the process of business production (idea + materials = product) is similar to that of the creation of a work of art (idea + material/form = work). The difference in the processes lies only in the creative expression of the idea that frees artists, from the constraints, logics and strategies linked to profit, to express themselves as Art itself is transformation.
Transformations thus become the alchemy of ideas and the foundation of art, erecting themselves as the pulsating and vital engine that feeds the incessant flow of creativity and innovation.
The work of art mutates, changes paradigm, transforms and thus becomes not just a static object to contemplate, but a constantly evolving process, an endless journey through the conceptual and material evolution of the idea. An aesthetics of transformations that leads to the evolutionary concept of a "work of art open" to infinite interpretations as conceptualised by Umberto Eco in the essay 1962 essay of the same name.
