This sculpture questions some religious beliefs based on the commodification of objects with mystical powers, criticizing this attitude for profit.
I conceived the 2020 sculpture as if it were a gadget to be sold with some marketing strategy that would ride the discomfort, fear and worries derived from the Covid-19 pandemic, the religious figure was used as a means of salvation, hope and care by emphasizing some of the dogmas that the church has been pursuing since its creation, the object conceived under a marketing vision for profit tends to sell the bottle of water as a miraculous cure for illness once sipped.
