It is the choice to reuse a paper material that is usually eliminated after consuming the product: a new ennoblement. The packaging, reduced into strips, becomes the "colour palette" and the expressive material which, arranged in spirals, gives volume and plasticity to the work. In the work of fragmentation, each box becomes anonymous and partially loses the recognisability of the product: the names and images become abstract and merge into an indistinct consumerist alchemy, obtaining in this confusion the effect of breaking the patterns and purposes of marketing .
The surface of each individual wrapper divided in this way multiplies and mixes with the other products with an effect of filling the space, of overflowing from the edges of the surface and symbolically of invasion into the environment of an uncontainable surplus which must instead be governed. It is a reflection on environmental sustainability, food waste and recycling compatible with the difficult process of ecological transition.
Articulated shapes of food packaging strips - various lengths and widths - curved and installed on special and studied open slots on the laminil support. The strips project vertically from one side of the support to the other.
