African divinity venerated by the mysterious Dogon population, a tribe famous for the impossible astronomical knowledge that their sages have held since ancient times.
Amma is considered the supreme creative deity, the incarnation of male and female principles: here we see her in a female guise, a mother goddess, creator.
Behind him a human spine, deteriorated by time, wants to represent the creation of the human race.
Another important symbol is the one painted in the center of his forehead, which represents the balance of the universe, of the celestial forces depicted with the 3 points upwards, joined to the earthly forces, represented with the 3 points opposite.
In the collar, a symbol is drawn within a circle, connected to the star that this tribe knows more accurately, to which they give extreme importance, Sirius.
Finally, the background wants to reproduce in an abstract style, a zebra mantle, obtained with drops and drips of color, a clear reference to the African continent.
Mixed Medium: Airbrush, paintbrush, acrylic paints.
On rigid panel
Base: prepared with putty, and final finish with opaque and glossy transparent paints.
