The word "amplesso" means amplexus, is an hand-embroidery writing made with thread white cotton. It is in the middle of the canvas.

The term in Italian has two meanings: hug and coitus. The hug represents the concept of love which leads to intercourse and coitus represents the climax. The space between the letter “p” and “l” means the lack of coitus for the woman, as brought up by Carla Lonzi.
Through this work I wanted to highlight one of the problems of the past: pleasure was only for the man.
