"In every chaos there is a cosmos,
in every disorder a secret order "
Carl Gustav Jung
Chaos or Χάος, primordial is at the origin of the universe, a pre-existing condition to the cosmos and at the same time origin and perennial foundation of it. In Greek mythology it is the mythical representation of the pre-cosmic. There would be no order without chaos, and without one another and there would be no ideas.
In the Shanghai game, toothpicks thrown into space land in a disorderly fashion. No one is able to predict how they will fall, not even the entropy which, by measuring its variability, could try to bring chaos closer to order.
I blocked the confused movement of the sticks in the moment after the launch, just before their fall to the ground, making them remain in an eternal space / time suspension.
It is exactly in this random space tending to order that my work is placed to represent the birth of the creative moment, investigating the boundaries between visible and invisible.
