The artwork consists of ten elements, each comprised of stone bases from the artist's native land, with vertical iron rods protruding from them. These bases represent the outer part of our bodies, a combination of flesh and bone that displays various facets, such as brown eyes or curly hair, which characterize our individuality. However, what strongly emerges are the hearts placed on top of each element.
The hearts are made of different materials, including plaster, wax, newspaper, and cement, creating a blend of textures and colors. These hearts symbolize the true essence of people: the soul, our unique character. They are the aspect that truly defines who we are. Through this artwork, the artist invites the observer not to confine themselves to the external surface but rather to delve into the depths of their own understanding, to discover the authentic essence hidden behind appearances.
