Decanter is part of the series “Zaffo”: a reflection about the emptiness and the absence that we can feel after the death of a loved one.
A decanter is a vessel that is used to hold the decantation of a liquid which may contain sediment.
In this work the pain takes a deep breath, becomes a layer, becomes stratified.
Time creates several levels of memory.
On the surface, deep emotions, emerge from the void.
The wine will change its appearance, it will lose color that will begin to fade.
What will become of our memories?
