On a red velvet drape are sewn the letters, (embroidered with sequins according to the louneville technique), which make up the inscription - The collectors arrive-. The drape is maintained at an iron bar straight from two nails.
The architecture of the work is inspired by the workmanship of the banners, whose idea is also suggested in the concept.
The verbal and technical planes evoke different meanings.
When I think of this work, I think not only of a banner, but also of an enigma. Not only do I believe that each person can read it, but above all that everyone can get lost in so many different readings.
The materials used are all waste materials, adapted here, the asymmetries of the fabric and some imperfections of the metal as well as the technique, are precise choices dictated by the poetics of the work and its history.
The work adapts to different lighting conditions.
