Mixed media - unique work - concrete/polystyrene/wood
The multimedia installation Hotel, an integral part of the Building Site project (2010-2012), invites viewers to explore the infinite potential of human imagination.
Conceived as an open “mental construction site”, the work is intended as a multisensory experience that goes beyond the mere visual and auditory representation of reality to actively stimulate the cognitive faculties of observers.
At the heart of the installation is a half-built hotel, symbolising the crisis of society and human imagination.
The hotel evokes a profound sense of transience in the definition of spaces and represents not only a physical place but also a catalyst, an imaginary bridge that goes beyond the limitations of everyday experience. The observer is thus invited to reflect on the meaning of building and living, both literally and figuratively, and to question the multiple interpretations and connections that the term assumes.
The imaginative element, the true fulcrum of the work, constitutes a fundamental invitation to wander freely through the mental construction site and to question preconceived perceptions in order to open up to the evocative suggestions offered by the installation.
A synthesis of visual and conceptual elements, this interactive work offers an opportunity to explore new mental horizons, inviting each viewer to question the unlimited potential of the imagination and new ways of perceiving and experiencing the world.
