Made for "Incarnati-L'immaginario dentro la storia" by Michelangelo Giovinale.
On the occasion of a church restored by the FAI and for its inauguration, 8 artists create as many site-
specific works.
"Il custode" is inspired by the words that Christ addressed to Peter "this is the stone on which you will
build my church and these are the keys to the kingdom of heaven". A Gothic arch positioned over a
church altar holds these two symbols of Christianity. An altar on the altar guardian of a sacredness and
spirituality to which humanity has never stopped clinging and relying on.
