The Silence of Trauma is a video built on intermittence: on what appears and disappears, on what remains and what is lost.
Through real fragments originating from the Gaza Strip, the work does not represent violence directly, but the fracture it produces: a broken rhythm made of darkness, light, noise, and suspension.
Trauma is not shown frontally. The bodies present in the video do not illustrate the event; they embody it. They become surfaces of resonance, sites where the collective wound settles and re-emerges. The wounded collective body surfaces as an echo, as a persistent absence, as an image that cannot be fixed.
The video questions the viewer’s role: when does looking become testimony, and when does it turn into complicity?
Here, silence does not protect. It is the very form of trauma itself—a force that continues to act even when the gaze withdraws.
