“In the pink”, the title chosen for this work, refers to the shocking pink in which the hammer and sickle stand out glittering, to its meaning and its origins, what it represents in the history of high fashion. “In the pink”, however, also means “in great shape”: the title is an antiphrasis. The work is a parody. Red is dead. Is it still time to stigmatize? And what? Communism? Ideology? Pink? Sequins?
The thirst for beauty, the dream of sparkle, this insatiable desire, insatiable like the thirst for justice, only their infinite struggle seems to resist all times.
