LEFTOVERS is an open project that I started in Barcelona in November 2016 during the artistic residency at the cultural space “Espronceda” and it continued in Turin in 2018 and Marseille. The goal is to map the various cities of the Mediterranean and beyond in order to understand the different relationships and actions that change between one city and another, talking to the people who shop, confronting with workers, learning their habits and discovering unpublished and typical procedures of the place.
LEFOTVERS # 002 is the second stage of the project developed in Turin. More than 400 sponges were sewn according to a recovery technique in Mali and discovered thanks to the knowledge of Alou, one of the boys who is part of an association that deals with recovering unsold food at the end of the day at the Porta Palazzo market in Turin .
