"OCULUS - The debut work has been acquired by the Braille Museum of France.
An artist's multiple in 71 copies.
"Eyes are not enough to see the stars."
The world around us is extraordinarily complex. To understand it, one must immerse oneself in it and engage with all aspects of ourselves. Even in the darkest moments, we must remember that human beings have often been able to show their genius in seeing beyond appearances.

Oculus is a work that arises as a tribute to the eternal human genius that often resurfaces in the history of humanity, as it has also happened in the Eternal City.

With sight and touch, the work tells the story of the Pantheon, which for millennia has connected us with the sky. What makes this monument unique is the 9-meter oculus at the center of the vault: not only is it the only source of light, but it also serves as a precise calendar and astronomical tool. In different seasons, sunlight reaches specific portions of the building, tracing the equinoxes and solstices. Furthermore, the vault reproduces a heliocentric system where the sun is precisely the central oculus; the coffered pattern, arranged in five concentric circles, represents the then-known and visible planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn).

The oculus, a window to the infinite, is now a metaphor for the possibility and necessity of seeing beyond our eyes, of being beyond and regardless of our limits.

The work is therefore completed with a Braille frieze that reads "not always closed eyes sleep, not always open eyes see."
