The artwork depicts a homeless man sleeping and immersed in dreams, and is made on a chenille fabric, the texture of which has been caressed and combed manually, in order to create a contrasting effect depicted by areas of light and shadow.
This man projects himself in a dream, in order to live a dream experience in which the other than himself becomes the real protagonist, in a transposition of identity. Reality and transformation are mixed in the dream, through a whirlwind of rapid images with uncertain features and imaginary flashes.
Finally, the technique of realization of the work itself becomes part of this dream moment: the features of the figure are precarious, fragile, erasable with a breath of wind or simply retouching them with the hand, like every single dreaming moment, which can find its end in the awakening of those who are dreaming. The technique, therefore, lives in symbiosis with the subject of the work, and shares its destiny.
