In a world caught in the grip of a global pandemic, in which the number of deaths is increasing day by day, in which the way of conceiving life and interpersonal relationships has undergone an unimaginable change, it is perhaps not the will to resist man to stand proud from the rubble of a deconstructed life?
The watchword therefore: resistance, resistance to rebuild, to restructure.

I made my manifesto of art as resistance, so I dedicated my latest collection to an Italy that resists (name: Italy that resists), also using the back of posters of advertising posters collected during the lockdown, witnesses of the emptiness that enveloped the cities.

The main monuments and views of various Italian cities emerge disruptive from a concrete that tries to suffocate them and which represents, in this particular historical moment, the invisible enemy and fear.
They emerge, because they resist.

The chromatic contrast between the symbolic images of the cities and the concrete, which characterizes the entire collection, becomes even more evident in the "Pisa" painting.
The material combinations also create a dynamism throughout the work that culminates in the crumbling of the concrete under the inexorable thrust of the tower.
