POETRY SUITE (Performance Art + installation) - written and staged by Silvia Bertocchi on the occasion of her first personal exhibition '' InumanAnomaliA '' at ME Milano Il Duca hotel - piazza Repubblica 3.
It starts from an installation, a sort of shocking pink ribbon cage that surrounds the artist for the duration of the performance and that excludes viewers outside. Above the ribbons hang many sheets with handwritten poems that Silvia will recite during the following 8 minutes. Poetry is the hinge of this performance and shows up in three forms: conveyed by the words, written on the sheets and made available to the public that can take poems away from the tape, thus becoming an integral part of the action, and in last tattooed on the skin.
The artist recites the poem she has tattooed on her hands and arms, thus establishing herself a connection with the audience who will be able to see, listen, read and take home eight minutes of poetry feeling close even if separated by ribbons. Ribbon tapes don't separe, they otherwise welcome and hold words straight from constant eye contact with the viewer.
