Re sister

Re sister is an artistic intervention on female solidarity. The subject is a gown I have enherited from my great-grandmother, dating back to 1930s applied to a wooden structure in order to replicate the shape of a flag . I insured that, through minor amendments, it could become an act of dissensus, equity and emancipation, also representing the symbol of a new generation of women: ours. OIt is a symbol for all women who have fought, and for all those who are still fighting.
Re sister is not about having raised the white flag of surrender. Instead, it is a manifesto, an act or resistance, dissent, and female rebellion. Re sister is a symbol of sorority, union, gender identity. It is a warning, a flag under whick we, women, all united, resist.
