This artwork belongs to a series that aims to compel the observer to confront the ephemeral nature of aesthetics. The images, initially nude photographs taken by the artist himself, have been transformed in color, appearance, and texture through the use of oils and paints, creating unique and unrepeatable artworks. This thorough deconstruction challenges traditional aesthetic norms and serves as a powerful commentary on the superficiality with which we often perceive beauty. In this way, the project becomes a critique of image-centric society, highlighting how the concept of beauty can be easily manipulated and distorted by those who hold the power to define what is considered beautiful. It is an invitation to look beyond appearances, to find beauty in cracks and wounds, and to recognize that it is through its very destruction that beauty can be reborn and reveal its deepest essence.
