Vortex – The Cure
Plexiglass print
100 × 100 cm
2025
Limited edition of 10
Vortex – The Cure belongs to the first phase of falling in love, when physical attraction becomes the answer to everything — when the body precedes thought and desire asserts itself as a vital necessity. It is the moment when love is not yet a narrative, but instinct, impulse, fire.
The palette is dominated by shades of red, evoking flesh, fire, blood, and passion. At the center of the composition appears a hibiscus flower, a symbol of attraction and vulnerability, opening its petals as if to draw everything and everyone into its vortex. This is not a contemplative flower; it is a call, a threshold, an invitation impossible to resist.
The surrounding vortex is made of fire. A movement that does not gently welcome, but forcefully seduces, promising pleasure and transformation. It is an apparent cure, because at the beginning of love, desire seems to heal every wound and numb every fear.
The artwork is developed through a hybrid process combining the artist’s vision and artificial intelligence, involving multiple stages, different software, and extensive experimentation. AI is guided as an extension of the artist’s creativity, translating a mental image charged with erotic and emotional tension into visual form.
Through an integrated QR code, the artwork expands into a dynamic dimension. In the generative video, the vortex turns into an inferno. Flames engulf the space, dazzling and disorienting. This is how falling in love begins: it sets everything on fire. The viewer enters this vision and experiences the intoxication of promises, pleasure, and physical closeness that becomes magnetic, irresistible, carnal.
The Cure does not idealize attraction — it exposes it in its absolute power. An artwork that portrays love as an initial blaze, capable of healing and burning at the very same time.
