TI AMO TI MANGIO

According to Heidegger, man does not live, he inhabits.
And living means cultivating and caring, not possessing.
With my project I would like to propose a reflection on this binding the idea of cultivating with loving and possessing with eating.

I love you
I eat you

In the tale of Hansel and Gretel the two children are abandoned by their father because
he couldn't find a way to feed them, so they are tracked down by one
witch who feeds them to make them fat with the intention of eating them.

WHAT IS THE BOUNDARY BETWEEN I LOVE YOU AND EAT YOU?

I speak of extractivism and the reality of the quarry in Carrara, an area that I have inhabited and defended for
several years, visually explains the condition of eating a territory you love.
The project therefore translates into a thought for the mountains: I will choose a stone from the quarry area (whose shape resembles the profile of a house) on which I will engrave the words I LOVE YOU and I EAT YOU with the
handwriting by Signor Luciano Massari, if he is willing to lend me these words.
Trying to propose a reflection of this type, with a site-specific work
of public art, I certainly connect to the idea of care, speaking of the mountain
through the mountain itself, whose rock becomes a symbol of what remains.
