Francesco Ardini was born in Padua, Italy, 1986. He lives and works in Padua and Nove.
In 2011 he graduated in Architecture, specialising in landscape architecture, at Venice IUAV University.
He became interested in ceramics during his university studies. A self-taught ceramic artist, he has developed powerful techniques by working on the material’s sculptural qualities, in order to obtain a sense of lightness and sophistication in the appearance and physical essence of his sculptures and installations. The irregular surfaces, the marked sense of dissolution, the linearity threatened by fissures, become a realistic depiction of biological circuits in which the development of form is always followed by dissolution: in the shadow of natural laws that are no
longer absolute but relative, in a world in which everything is interrelated and in a precarious balance.
In recent years he has approached experimenting with other industrial waste materials by putting sustainability and the diversity present in companies characterized by the knowhow of employees at the center of his work.
