I have found myself "naturally inclined" to communicate through art, manifested in many ways....peculiarly even in cooking, that has not only been therapeutic but a medium around which I communicate. Life's circumstances kept me away from formal training, or the opportunity to focus my talents.
Then events conspired to open all me to enter this enchanting world of art that has inspired me since . At 53 I met a young mother, a refugee, lost in this new world. In an attempt to befriend and distract her we began painting. Though not certain how much I helped, the effort opened my eyes to the impact of art , the recent pandemic has further increased my appreciation for the role of art .
My focus is visual art with the primary medium is oil on canvas. My technique has developed through formal training in Itly (Brera University) and in Houston - USA. In the course of this journey I have made more than a hundred paintings that reflect my desire to portray the complexity and frailty of humanity.
My visual art form is oil on canvas, and largely impressionist. I tend to depict isolated individuals;s within an in midst of many. The paradox that of "loneliness in a crowd" that so characterizes current societies sfor many when superficial interactions
The techniques applied, were modified, and adapted from my training in the USA, the methods and techniques of applying paint to canvas best suited my inspiration, However my most recent artistic evolution has taken me to not a new direction.
