Under the Same Roof presents industrial roofing panels laid horizontally on the ground, transforming a structure of shelter into a displaced surface. The roof no longer protects.
A football remains motionless on this plane, suggesting a fall without verticality. The action that brought it there is absent; only its trace persists. The object appears as residue—the interruption of an event that cannot be reactivated.
The work destabilizes the notion of “being under the same roof,” exposing it as a fragile construction rather than a shared condition. Shelter is revealed as contingent, susceptible to displacement, inversion, or removal.
In relation to migration, the piece approaches displacement not as movement but as structural misalignment. There is no trajectory—only loss of position. What remains is not the home, but the evidence of its displacement.
