Yesterday's ancient technique looks to the future. The skill involved in polishing the metal surface, in the clear construction of shading or of a simple line, the cutting and biting of the metal, and interest in paper quality, all reveal fresh and energetic quest for poetic expression and their urgent need for continuous experimentation with new graphic language methods to give a voice to the voiceless.
