timeline

In the last few days of my residency at Villa Rechsteiner,
I worked on a site specific project within the park. I
measured the circumferences of a lot of trees using
different coloured ropes. Afterwards, I tied the ropes
and I created a very long line along the path of the
park. Since each line is related to a specific quantity
of time (the life of the tree), people walk along a
path and along a line “made of time”. I like the idea
that people might walk on a route where each step
corresponds to hundreds or thousands of years.
