Fragment of a boat and beach made of glass collected from the sea and from company waste
Variable dimensions

The first kiss is a work, an icon, a synthesis of the grafts that make up the scaffolding of this research. The installation that he has been mulling over for several years and returning with ever greater certainty is the attempt to recreate a glass beach on which a fragment of a boat emerges or sinks.
Just like the first kiss, one of the most perceived human experiences as the first step towards a dimension we didn't yet know, we don't understand if it sinks us or if it brings us back towards a new feeling.
The glass is fragments worked by the sea that I collect almost every day from the beach and waste from companies.

The boat fragment, on the other hand, is intended as a real abstract sculpture. Going into more detail, showing the underside of a boat, in nautical terms called OPERA VIVA, the public is given the opportunity to see the signs, the incessant work of the sea which leaves its mark and generates its forms. Showing the underside of a boat, i.e. the image of reality, is like showing its true spirit, what cannot be seen.

Finding the image of a kiss in those wounds and those caresses.

The first kiss is intended as a project in which to invest more and more resources to recreate not a few meters of beach as it was, but a real portion of territory in which the spectator can feel himself inside a real and possible landscape.
A beach with green, white and blue shades on which a fragment of a bow stands out as a monument to a sensation that we cannot explain.
