In the Sforza coat of arms in the Castello Sforzesco in Milan, and in the Castello Sorzesco di Soncino there are small buckets, and thus my project was born, which has its roots in history.
The bucket in the coat of arms symbolized peace in contrast to the small torches that were synonymous with war: "si vis pacem, para bellum". It is therefore a site specific installation that connects the two castles: one belongs to my memory, as it was born in Milan, and the other belongs to the historical memory of the town of Soncino.
The title instead is stolen from the chorus of the melodrama "Bianca Turenga" (1838) in which a girl is fought over by two brothers and to avoid bloodshed between them, she will take the vows.
The bucket is a container of objects, emotions and memories to be transported from one place to another, but also a metaphor for a place full of history and fully perceiving its lightness and fragility, it becomes an allegory of an uncertain future.
A cloud of small buckets made of tissue paper is placed in such a way that the visitor passes through it and is involved not only visually but provokes an almost tactile emotion.
