This work is the symbol of a moment that shocked thousands of children in Ukraine, stealing their childhood. From one day to the next, their lives were turned upside down, and many of them had to flee, taking their entire existence with them in a suitcase.
The teddy bear on the swing is portrayed in front of a destroyed apartment building in the heart of the city of Chernihiv, in north-eastern Ukraine. A city with over 1300 years of history due to war is marked by devastation with over 70% of the infrastructure destroyed.

This work is a silent cry against the injustice and suffering that children in Ukraine and around the world suffer due to conflicts.
