El Hilo is a performance exploring gesture, memory and migration. Inside a historical ossuary, the performer hand-stitches a red thread onto a cloth used by manteros, transforming a precarious material into a surface of vulnerability and resistance.
The slow, ritual gesture echoes the invisible trajectories of migrant lives. The stitched cloth becomes the material outcome of the work: a physical trace that extends the performance, holding its time, fragility and meaning.
