EXECUTION

The hanging candle that goes towards its inevitable extinguishing is a metaphor of the condemned to death, who knowingly but inexorably goes to meet his fate. A representation of the short but intense time which separates being from non-being. In the course of the "execution", the background noise of the street symbolizes the indifference of the world during the unfolding of a drama that appears personal, but which is actually a problem for all humanity. (the video was made using a smartphone, filming a lit candle tied with string as it descends to a jug full of water. The background consists of sheets of green paper. The sound is the original one at the time of shooting)
