The artist pays tribute to her great passion for the East and its valiant samurai through the former model Lily Donaldson: become a warrior who wears an imposing headdress. On it stand out golden decorations that remember the deer horns that often adorned the kabuto, (the helmets of the commanders) and symbolized with gilded lacquered wood in the kuwagata - the Japanese crests More ancients- a symbol of life and good omen for the warrior.
The colors used evoke the red lacquers while the fabrics behind the nape of the figure open like majestic fans, a tribute to the Theatre Noh.
In the collage the artist softens the static nature of the figure through the energy of the color in the drapery and the vigor of the decorations which, although part of the armor, seem to sprinkle it like a lifeblood.
