The work Omnia was born initially, from a research of the 4 natural elements (water, earth, fire, air), sketches and drawings, which we sketched in moments of reflection, on what we wanted to create. From this our mental journeys led us to reflect on the natural elements expressed in architectural lines (organic architecture, Bauhaus), reflections on the geometries that the human body creates in movement, from dance to walking. We studied the effect of sound on matter and elements. The concept of the work that we perceived was expanding more and more and we came to ever new symbolisms, even the choice of materials was the result of research ...
We chose the material to use for our work thinking of the human being and his image, (anthropological reflections, social media, the way of appearing while not being, advertising) in the 2000s, opting for forex (Expanded PVC ) which is usually used for large billboards. We used recycled forex, trying to bring a concept of eco-sustainability and respect for the planet to the work. Our work that can be defined as installation / sculpture / jewel / visual communication / or performative dress, is the fusion of different artistic concepts reworked in a contemporary key. The work is three-dimensional, sculptural but light, it paints shadows with light, creating forms outside of itself, it has alternating empty and full sections (like the artist's voids and thoughts of floods like the floods of a river). We have taken up the Archimedes principle in navigation, studying the sails, ... the work begins to take shape from the lower section of the female component, the non-full sails crossed by the wind that take on hot bent, a natural shape similar to succulents, the tail is a sound box, a nest of sections, a structure that full would be able to navigate, our work, understood as a mother's womb capable of moving the elements of life, the eternal fire of passion that becomes a heart on the chest, the headdress, which does not identify a face, but protects, Star of the headdress that expresses the sacredness of the woman who gives life, and shares it, merging into a single sculpture and expression with the masculine or asexual part that is represented by the figure of the warrior angel, the dragonfly, the vegetation, the war of the men expressed in a helmet, which carries a heart on its back. Our work in recent months seemed to communicate with us in turn, we have always thought that art had the task of foreseeing at times, having a particular perceptive sensitivity, omnia also represents all the shields that the human being must wear, in order not to appear fragile and weak, and suddenly covid 19 imposes itself in the lives of all of us, the isolation, which the artist often seeks deliberately, the masks that we all wear in everyday life regardless of viruses, the human being who would like to fly feeling free but cannot, ... are we really free?
Time seems a deception, except in a fraction of life where time does not seem to exist, ... and the human can if he wants to get out of his psychic superstructures from our work by living naked who he really is.
Our work wants to be a message of hope in motion, between light and shadows, full of imperceptible sensations. The artists who shape a work on themselves. Until now the artist has brought many things and philosophies out of himself, on canvases, in still sculptures, films, photographs, Fontana makes cuts on his canvases, looks for a world that enters or escapes, we have tried to tell the our artistic world, two artists who can enter and exit their work leaving traces in a silhouette, in moving lines, shadows and light of being artists ... black and white that contrast, as in a black and white photograph in which the soul of the subject is perceived, but it will always be life that gives the pulse and a meaning to things ... the sun has drawn with us many days, the effort of creating has inflamed Carmelo's tendons, and for weeks Giusi he waited for the words to be sent to arrive too, ... our story, by Omnia, is just a grain of sand among the things that not even literature is able to tell.
Omnia represents for us a snapshot in our training and artistic perception, the confirmation that art is a gift for us, which makes us tireless, despite the fact that normal life flows relentlessly, ...
If our work is approved for the award, we would be happy to bring the performative art into the exhibition, with movements and sounds studied ad hoc that would be a surplus of innovation according to our point of view, then we would have questions regarding the exhibition locations.
