artwork created following the residency project for "The New Orchestra. From Mountain Communities to Community of the Future", curated by Andrea Lerda in collaboration with Gabriele Lorenzoni.

Gesto 7 is a visual EP of electronic music.
The voices of the three Ladin mountains frequented by the artists were synthesized: Sasso di Santa Croce (Sas dla Crusc), Sass de Putia (Sas de Pütia), and a portion of the Sella Group (Grup dl Sela). Technically, the profile of each mountain was first faithfully drawn and then converted into sound through the virtual synthesizer Serum, a tool that allows the creation and shaping of sounds starting from waveforms. The visual boundary between earth and sky—represented by the physical limit of this imposing geological presence, here acting as an intermediary between humans and the world beyond—becomes a voice.
Starting from these Voices, electronic music tracks were created (one for each Mountain), integrating natural sonorities captured through field recording, sounds produced by the artists using found objects, whistles emitted with ephemeral bark instruments, excerpts from interviews with inhabitants of the Ladin valleys, samples, recordings of the “La Valle” Choir (Cor La
Val), and of local musicians. The moving images accompanying the choral narration of an entire Place—the Val Badia—translate the sensibility of a specific portion of the World, conveying the emotional affiliation people feel toward the mountain environment and the reasons behind the sense of togetherness that Ladin culture fosters
across generations.
