Separation consists of a marble-tiled surface arranged on the floor according to a regular constructive system. Between each tile, instead of conventional technical spacers, small human figurines are inserted.
These bodies occupy the place of measurement. They do not represent individuals but function as units that sustain the distance between elements, integrated into the logic of the structure itself. The work displaces the function of the system: what organizes space becomes dependent on the body. Separation ceases to be abstract and becomes material and inhabited.
In this context, territory does not appear as a neutral surface but as a device that regulates proximity, fixes positions, and defines conditions of access. The work does not describe the border; it constructs it.
